The Arabians Ltd. Mirajh RCA, Alixir x Rhapsody In Black

Ahmad Amer’s Al Kahira Arabians brought Bellagio RCA’s little brother, Mirajh RCA, to Egypt shortly after his Egyptian Event EBC Championship win. In Egypt, he won Reserve Champion Colt at the El Zahraa National Show AND Junior Champion Colt at the Egyptian Nationals! As a sire, he been producing one champion after another!

Mu'Ezz, 2007 Stallion, Mirajh RCA x Moonira

Mu’Ezz (x Moonira), was Mirajh’s very first foal. He was 2007 Weanling Champion at the El Zahraa National Show, and 2008 Reserve Champion Yearling Colt!

Another Mirajh son, Sayed Al Kahira (x El Sayyedah) was the Junior Male Bronze Champion at the 2010 Egyptian Nationals show. Full sister LoaLoah was 2009 Junior Champion Mare at the El Zahraa National Show.

Congratulations to Mr. Amer on the selection of such an incredible young stallion and the success of his straight Egyptian breeding program!

In 2009, another breeder named Mr. Ahmad Amer exported the young Alixir son El Galal I (x Bint Imaara) to Egypt as well. We’re looking forward to seeing what he does with this Egyptian Event Reserve Champion Colt, who was bred by Jim and Constance Markham.

Salimah Min Allah, Thee Desperado x Barakis Gem

This summer, El Gamil Stud purchased two promising young straight Egyptians through the Arabians Ltd. Consignment: black filly Salimah Min Allah (Thee Desperado x Barakis Gem), bred by Jerry and Brenda Dumas, and bay colt Milagro TDA (Bellagio RCA x Lotus Sadiy by Thee Infidel), bred by Mike Danos. We will be sure to keep you posted on their accomplishments!

Ezz Al Shahania, 2010 Colt, Thee Desperado x *Abha Qalams

Arabians Ltd. is honored that Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Thani of Doha, Qatar has chosen a Thee Desperado son for his Al Shahania Stud! Ezz Al Shahania (Thee Desperado x *Abha Qalams) was born earlier this year and possesses a pedigree of champions–not only was his sire Unanimous Supreme Champion at Scottsdale, but his dam, *Abha Qalams, was Reserve Junior Champion Filly there!

The exquisite *Abha Qalams (Alfabia Damascus by Abha Mudira) is the August 2010 Arabian Horse World cover horse, and Sheikh Mohammed and his farm, including Ezz Al Shahania, are the subject of the cover story! Sheikh Mohammed notes of Ezz in the article, written by Denise Hearst, “He’s a very long necked, long legged, balanced colt with a pretty face.”

Sheikh Mohammed purchased *Abha Qalams and Ezz Al Shahania from Thee Desperado Lifetime Breeding Patrons Ray and Nora Tatum, and the colt will remain under the care and guidance of Michael Byatt until he leaves for his new home.

We wish Sheikh Mohammed all the best with this promising young Egyptian-related colt!

The Minstril, 1984-2010

Arabians Ltd. fondly remembers former herd sire The Minstril (Ruminaja Ali x *Bahila), who passed away peacefully this weekend at his retirement home, Paradise Arabians. Paradise did an outstanding job of caring for the 26-year-old stallion in his retirement, and he was loved by all who knew him there. His proud presence is already missed by his former groom Shawn Crews, Arabians Ltd. owner Judy Sirbasku, and The Minstril’s breeders and former owners David and Marion Gardner, who wish to thank Paradise owners Gary and Wanda Kenworthy for their kind, respectful treatment of the horse they all loved so well. His loss will be felt by many in the straight Egyptian and Arabian community at large, for his influence as a sire was international and cannot be overestimated.

We feel proud to be entrusted with his most famous son, Thee Desperado, many of his most beautiful daughters, and through a legacy that keeps him with us every day, in 6 generations and counting of his descendants.

The stallions of Arabians Ltd. proved once again that they are the best in the straight Egyptian world! Foals of Mishaal HP made a huge splash this year (see the ad above, which also appears in this month’s issue!). His sons Paladium (x Amiri Jolie), AA Couture (x Bint Bint Aminaa by Thee Asil), and IV Ever Sinan (x II Di IV by Thee Asil) were all in the winner’s circle at the Egyptian Event’s championships.

With the notable additions of Mishaal HP and Alixir, Thee Desperado and his sons, including Thee Infidel and Thee Asil, once again dominated the list of Leading Halter Sires. The Top 10 list was included Thee Desperado, 4 of his sons, and his grandson Bellagio RCA! In all, Thee Desperado had 10 sons and 4 daughters on the list of Leading Sires and Dams of Winners!

Congratulations to all of the breeders and owners whose Arabians Ltd.-bred foals are achieving so much and helped to make this Egyptian Event so spectacular!

Noor Magidaa LDA, Futurity Champion, 2010 Egyptian Event US

Just a month after winning her class at the 2010 Egyptian Event, Noor Magidaa LDA (Mishaal HP x Illa Magidaa LDA by Thee Desperado) won the Bronze Champion Filly title at the Egyptian Event Europe! Just 2 days after arriving in her sire’s birthplace in Germany, she left for the show and wowed the judges with Frank Spoenle at the lead! Her new owner, Nayla Halek, says that she’s more beautiful than any picture she’d seen and is thrilled with her.

Nayla purchased Noor Magidaa LDA from trainer Greg Knowles after her win at the Egyptian Event here, and Noor was bred by Dan and Louise DeRusseau.

Congratulations to all of these wonderful people who have contributed to this stunning filly’s success!
