Another Alixir son champion

Congratulations to Tim Manring, whose yearling colt Justynn (Alixir x Bint Bint Justina by Thee Desperado) was Junior Champion Colt at this summer’s Egyptian Event!

Ahmad Amer purchased the black colt from Tim as both a show horse and future breeding stallion for his farm in Cairo, Egypt.

Tim is studious about selecting breedings for each of his treasured mares, and his careful choices produce outstanding results. When asked why he chose Alixir for Bint Bint Justina, he shared, “He is just a beautiful, charismatic stallion. I like his athletic ability and movement. He has great confirmation, a great hip and tail carriage and good legs. Bint Bint Justina has incredible refinement, movement and charisma. I love what Alixir has produced with Rhapsody in Black, including my filly, Rhapsodys Crescendaa, and thought that Justina and Alixir may have the same ability to produce the best of both of them. Justynn is exactly that. Incredible refinement and eloquence from Justina, a strong body and hip from Alixir and the wonderful movement, presence and charisma that they both share.

Tim was so happy with Justynn that he bred Justina back to Alixir even before the colt’s success at the Event this year. Justynn’s full sibling is due in March 2009, so even though Justynn will leave the US for the land of his ancestors after concluding his show career here, Tim will have a sibling of this special young horse to enjoy.
